Welcome to Restaurant Café Graflhöhe — Windbeutelbaron®, your traditional destination on the Obersalzberg in Berchtesgaden. Since 1930, our establishment has stood for Bavarian hospitality, culinary specialties, and an unparalleled panoramic view of the Berchtesgaden Alps.
For generations
Founded in 1930 as a dairy by our great-grandfather, our inn has evolved over four generations into a popular meeting place for gourmets. What began as a small alpine hut is today a lovingly maintained alpine restaurant with 206 seats — and the original Berlin recipe for our famous giant cream puff.

Location and directions
Our guesthouse is located at an altitude of 1,000 meters on the Obersalzberg, away from the road in a quiet location — with a magnificent panoramic view of the Watzmann, Hochkalter and Lattengebirge mountains as well as into the valley towards Schönau am Königssee.
Easily accessible by public bus or the historic Obersalzbergbahn railway directly to the house.

Approximately 1.5 hours from Berchtesgaden, 1 hour from the Obersalzberg Documentation Center parking lot — minimal elevation gain.
